Is the high IQ equal to Math High Marks

After testing some students seem to get the conclusion I that a score above the average IQ is not necessarily translate to higher math marks. The categories of evidence, including logic, memory sequence etc, these are important factors that could influence the child's ability in mathematics. Why are above-average student-intensive math intellectual high notes? Some of these students studied hard and yet I could not do well in their exams in mathematics, why? I started to explore ways in which tried to solve the problems and difficulties encountered in trying to solve math problems, and found that there are still a few factors affecting their mathematical ability, but the general intelligence test does not seem to determine what those weak areas that are not related to their mathematical ability.
- They do not know math short cut or advice. General intelligence tests do not address these areas.
- He can not work backwards, or think otherwise. Often, the IQ test does not require formulas and high IQ students even have difficulty in the implementation of equations.
- Do not place any conditions or information together and then solve problems. For example, the IQ test will memory test, the pattern logic or separate sheets, but often math problems require children to apply all a problem and IQ test questions do not seem to have this kind of problems to test all the skills in a problem.
- IQ tests do not teach kids something in advance and then test their knowledge so there is no cause and effect consequence curriculum. learning involves teaching mathematics (conceptual learning) and downstream practice, so if children are not interested in carrying out the completion of the flow of math learning procedure then their brands will not be high on tests.
- Are children involved in the study? If they are simply trying hard because their parents love then the results will differ from those who are inherently interested in making research.
- If the skill scores in high intelligence test transferable math test? This answer can be yes definitely.
- Often math problems require knowledge learned to solve and require practice the knowledge learned so while some children have a high IQ score, but can not have high math scores, if not put in the effort to practice enough to master the skills. For example, I noticed that some high schools do not remember how to use the formula to expand (x – y) ^ 2 or know how to factor x ^ 2 – y ^ 2 and these have little to do with real life experience. The reason they have not done enough to be practical and not when these skills are needed to solve some algebraic problems though may have high results IQ testing.
- Some high-IQ children do not care if what has been taught is clear or not, no spirit of inquiry to find out or ask someone to clarify the confusing points.
- Bad study habits or bad habits of life even as their ability to affect learning can not organize or analyze their thoughts. For example, if some points of the presentation were not understood by children of high IQ and if these kids do not even bother to take notes or allocate the points and then review them, how can they get a high rating if these points were tested later?
