7th Grade Pre-algebra Math Book

Slope and y-intercept Math Help?!?
I am in 7th grade. im in the higher math class and we are doing pre-algebra. On the lesson we are doing, it is slopes and y-intercept. I understand how to graph it and what the y-intercept is but my teacher doesnt explain anything to us and the book doesnt really help. All i really need help with is the slope. Can someone please explain how to do the following questions:
y= 7x + 3
y-intercept-3
i know the slope is 7 but what do you put 7 over?
y= -x
^i dont know ho to do that one
-and-
y= 4
^no clue where to begin
Thank you so much in advance. And if you can write the slope in fraction form that is mainly what i need help on.
I think i understand the first one. Im not sure bout the others though. Please still explain the 1st one anyway just so i can make sure im doing it right.
write y= -x as y= (-1)x+0
thus the slope becomes -1
write y = 4 as y=(0)x+4
thus the slope is 0
remember always that two parallel lines have same slope and y=k is general equation of a line parallel to the x axis and x axis has a slope 0
bye sis study well
