Algebra 2 Math Solver

can anyone help me with this math problem?
How do you solve this problem i his algebra. =- 3 Logx8 know that the answer is 1 / 2, but I have no idea how they got that? Help anyone steps please.And I mean
logx8 = -3 switch to exponential notation: x ^ (-3) = 8 8 as write 2 ^ 3 and apply the negative exponent of -3 so x ^ (-3) is (1 / x) ^ 3: (1 / x) ^ 3 = 2 ^ 3 Now that the exponents are the same, the bases must be equal: 1 / x = 2 solve: x = 1 / 2 that's it!
