Algebra Formulas Slope

Algebra 1 help;how to find slope. I need the formula.?
Im only a 5th grader,so Algebra 1 is quite a challenge for me.
Slope is the change in the y numbers (the second ones in each pair), divided by the x numbers (the first ones in each pair). This is referred to as “Rise over Run” in most texts.
Example : points given are (1, 5) and (3 ,
The slope is 8 – 5 divided by 3 – 1 — or 3 / 2
Note that when you start subtracting one from the other, you can do it either way (1st – 2nd OR 2nd – 1st ), BUT you must do them both the same way.
Note that slope can be positive, negative, or none. If the x values are the same, the slope is called undefined, since this is dividing by zero.
Your formula is : y2 – y1 / x2 – x1 OR y1 – y2 / x2 – x1 whichever is easier to do with the points you are given.
