Algebra Help Lcd
Can you help me with this algebra problem extra credit?
Another question for extra credit. Teacher used to help because I found its EC LCD screen, but I'm lost in the heart of the problem here it is x 2 + 5x = -2 —– —– 2x-1 2x +1 I have to show all the work and the need this degree. Any help much appreciated. Ok that came out of their different x +2 / 2x-1 + 1 = -2 5x/2x sorry
so the LCD is (4x ^ 2-1) right? this will be the denominator for the fraction of the left. with the new LCD as the denominator, we simplify the numerator …. new (2 + 1) (x + 2) + (2x – 1) (5x) so (2x ^ 2 + 5x + 2) + (10 x ^ 2 – 5x), then combine like terms, 12x ^ 2 + 2 —> new numerator. Now let's put everything next: 12 x ^ 2 + 2 ________ = -2, then cross multiply the denominator 4x ^ 2-1 12x ^ 2 + 8x ^ 2 =- 2 + 2, then combine like terms 20x ^ 2 = 0, so x = 0 please check everything. at least now you the basic steps in solving this problem.
