High School Algebra 1 substitution method Help!?
I need to know how to do that and the problem-14 = 3x and 5x =- 2 = xy-1-2x 3 y = 5 4x = 3 x 3 y 2 y = 2 so please explain how these three problems, I am totally confused … 10 pts. Best answer!
Q2. is a typical problem of substitution method, so I'll take a look at this first. xy =- 1-2x 3 y = 5 With one of formulas (eg the first) Search for "x" in terms of "Y": x = -1 x = -1 + … easier to read as follows: x = y – 1 Set this value "X" in the second formula: 2x-y = 3 5 -2 (y – 1) + 3y = 5-2a + 2 + 3y = 5 y + 2 = 5 y = 3 Put this "and" return value in Formula 1: xy = -1 x – 3 = -1 X = 2 Check setting x = 2 y = 3 in the second formula: y = 2x-3 5 -2 * 2 * 3 + -4 + 3 = 5 9 = 5 ………. .. REAL ———————– Q1. not really a problem alternative standard method, however, y = 3x and 5x-14 =- 3x 2 – 5x + 2 = 16 8x =- 14 x = 2 y = 3 * 2.14 = 6.14 = -8 —- YY — —————- Q3. 4x 3 y = 3 x 2 y = 2 Using the quadratic equation: x = 2 – 2y = 4x 3 y 3 4 (2 – 2a) 3 = 8-8 y + 3y = March 3 8 – 3 = 5y-5a = -5 5y = 5 y = 1 x = 0 ———————–
