Ask …. "Write the slope intercept form of equation x + 3y = 7 I'm the mom, my child needs help and I have no idea, was many years too ….
For obtain an equation like this in slope intercept for what you need for the "y" by itself. The only thing preventing "and" being itself is 3. You need to "undo" by multiplying by three, dividing each term by 3. This gives y = 7 / 3 + 1 / 3 x. slope is always the number in front of X, so that settling is the third. The intersection is always constant and it is 7 / 3. Expressed as a point on the graph of the intersection is (0, 7 / 3).
