College Algebra Sample Questions

Need help intermediate algebra: Rational expressions (they say)?
I'm studying to take my test to get into college after being in school for four years and I can not remember anything. Someone please explain to me how! Thanks! It lets me copy and paste the question, but here is the link and is the # 4 http://www.act.org/compass/sample/algebra.html
You remember what you have in mind? If so, just above factor, the factor responsible, and cancel the terms that apply. For number 4: The numerator ^ r = 2 – 5R 6 This may be taken into account: (r – 3) (r – 2) = ^ r 4.2 The denominator can be taken into account: (r – 2) (R + 2) So you see there is a (R – 2) term in the numerator and denominator and therefore cancel. This leaves you with (r – 3) / (R + 2) or response (A). Hope that helps. If you do not remember how to take into account, I would not worry too much, but it is likely that you can get again some algebra to enter
