plz, i know it must be annoying to have to click onto another website but i’ve tried research and i have absolutely no idea what any of that is.
question 6 requires you to factor the numerator and denominator to solve.
x^2-x-6 factors to (x-3)(x+2)
x^2-4 factors to (x-2)(x+2)
therefore you have (x-3)(x+2)/(x-2)(x+2)
(x+2) cancels out of the top and bottom of the expression leaving you with (x-3)/(x-2) answer B
question 10 you must solve the inequality
20 – 4x/5 >= 16
multiply both sides by 5
100 – 4x >= 80
add 4x to both sides
100 >= 80 + 4x
subtract 80 from both sides
20 >= 4x
divide both sides by 4
5 >= x or you can write it as x <= 5
you can verify this is true by plugging several values of x into the inequality (use multiples of 5 to make it easier to calculate) you'll quickly see that x must be less than 5 for the inequality to be true.
