algebra 10th grade math, please help <333 :) 10 POINTS BEST ANSWER!?

we are learning about absolute value functions, and we are using the formula y=a{x-h}+k where the symbols { } mean the absolute value of. (h,k) is the vertex.
if a is negative, then the function opens down. if a is positive, then it opens up.

the problem i have is graphing:
y= -3.75 {x+5}-5. i have to find the vertex, which i thought was (-1.5, -5) but i’m not sure. then i have to find x when y equals -5,
so -5=-3.75{x+5}-5.
PLEASE HELP ME! :) i really am confused, and need to know this so please <3333 thank you in advance!

since you said in the formula y=a{x-h}+k the vertex should be (h,k)
then in y= -3.75 {x+5}-5 the vertex is (-5,-5),not (-1.5, -5) .
in fact this is a function that opens down with the vertex of (-5,-5)
there is nothing wrong in it.
