Pre-algebra Introductory Algebra

Introductory Linear Algebra?? What kind of material would this cover (for college)? Help!?

So, I am trying to sign up for an online college course for the second eight weeks of the first semester. And the only thing available is Introductory Linear Algebra.

So what exactly would this cover? What previous math do I need? I have taken Pre-Algebra in 8th grade, Algebra in 9th grade, and I took Geometry in 10th grade. I’m done with high school now (graduated 2 years early) but I’m not sure about this math class.

It has been over a year since I’ve been in school so I’m a little nervous about starting again. I just want to make sure I will remember everything/have the previous knowledge I will need to do okay in this class, especially since it is online.

Anyway, my question is what kind of material will be covered in this class? What exactly will I need to know? Is it a good idea to take this kind of class online? I do alright in math, it’s not my best subject, but I probably average a C overall.

Thanks for any help!

A linear algebra at the college level presumes at least one semester of calculus…I suggest that you learn a little trig and college algebra or precalculus, as you will indeed need it.
