The ones digit of a two digit number is 5 less than the tens digit, and the number is 55 more than three times the sum of the digits. What is the number?

Let the 2 digit number again be ‘xy’.

From first condition, we have x= y+5.
From 2nd condition, we have

10x+y = 3(x+y)+55
=> 7x-2y = 55
=> 7y+35-2y = 55
=> 5y = 20
=> y = 4
=> x = 9

So, your 2 digit number is 94.
