Please help! Easy 10 points!?

I have a lot of problems in mathematics. Our teacher is out of town and gave us a sub sheet calculation about anything that has happened, I'm in Pre-Algebra. Can anyone help me with these questions? The surface area of a square pyramid with the sides of the base of 16 cm and slant height 32 cm. The options are: a. N. 96 cm ² C. 1280 sq. cm d. 512 cm square 264 cm If I could show how he came answer that would be great! I want to know how to do this so I can do for the other problems. Thanks! Thanks for the replies! I gave everyone a thumbs up!

may well find the surface area of a pyramid that would have to find the area of squares and triangles that form the pyramid. The formula for the area of a square is LXW (or side to side sometimes long and wide). The formula for a triangle is base x height divided by two (in this case is based side and the height is the slant height) And so four triangles forming a pyramid so that the formula would be 4 divided by 2 xbxh. This also means xbx 2 h. (2 times sometimes inclined side height.) So now we know that the ways we can make the problem. Area of square (triangle base) 16 x 16 = 256 cm ² area of triangles of 2 x 16 x 32 = 1024 cm ² Then you need to add them to obtain the total area. + 1024 = 1280 cm ² for 256 the answer is B. I hope this help, I explained the best I could.
