College Algebra Tutors Free

What are some good ways to study?

I’m retaking the ACT again. The first time I took it, I got an 18. I did great in English, Reading, and Writing, but bombed Math and Science. Those are my two weaknesses. I’m was in basic (slow) math classes 9-11th grade, and now I’m going to be a senior in College Prep Algebra 1. I’m finally getting a free tutor through my school (took them almost 4 years to help me find a tutor), and retaking the ACT again in October and December.

On top of studying for the ACT, I’m also taking Biology 2, which requires a lot of studying, as well. My question is, what are some good ways of studying, besides just reading straight out of the book over and over? When it comes to Science and Math, it’s like a whole new language to me.
The colleges I’m applying to want a 21 or over on the ACT.

nothing beats studying the basics. no matter what subject. master the basics and move on. I find it best to turn off everything when studying. no laptop, tv ect.. complete focus. You train your mind to be sharp this way, and you also gain better concentration. multi tasking diminishes memorya because there is no focus.
