Mathematics Major Question?

I’m currently answering the “call” to become a teacher. I was a college Algebra Tutor for 6 month+ and I loved it. I decided I wanted to do that with my life. the only problem is,I’m highly terrified of what’s to come. (I currently live in TX, no education major, just pure majors).

I will start off with Trig, then as follows

Cal1/Cal2
Matrix mathods in Eng Sci
Foundations of math
Linear Algebra
ODE
Intro to Analysis
Abstract Algebra
Algorithms in Appl Math
Intro to Probab
Geometric systems
Appld Stats
Multivariate Cal
Intro to Real Variables.

That’s what I have left in my degree, and I’m worried that I won’t “have what it takes”. My current GPA is 3.4, and I understand Math at the level I’m at without flaw. I’ve currently taken up trends in reading about all the various math out there and it doesn’t seem too difficult, but I still am confused.

What am I to expect?

touche is totally right. If you really want to be a teacher, then go for it. I am pretty terrible at math, but I am determined to be a mechanical engineer. It’ll probably be hard, but I’m sure it’ll work out if you try hard enough. And also, you’re also doing very well so far, so why stop? Best of luck, whatever you choose.
