Act Pre Algebra Questions
How can I get smart friends at school?
Well, I have been asking a lot of questions about school, and I always get “be yourself”, and that is correct, but it didn’t really get me anywhere. Now I have a big problem, which really covers up all my questions about school. Not to show off or anything, I’m a lot smarter than most of the kids in, well, not only the sixth grade, but probably the whole school. I got into pre-algebra, I got into honers roll, and I make really good connections with the teachers, some that are not even mine. But for some reason, I don’t really have any smart friends. I try to be social and act smart, but it always comes down to me being buddies with some kid who knows every cheat code in some Starwars game on the PSP. The smart kids don’t really do sports and are more of the indoorsy type, but they are still fun to be around with. I’m just like that, but it all stays the same. All I need is some advice on how to prove that I am worth befriending.
It could have something to do with the fact that you try to “act smart”. Acting anything never works. It makes you too self-conscious. If you stop worrying about how to get smart friends and just make friends with the people you like & develop a rapport with, you’ll get there.
